Grandvalira: ranked among the best ski resorts in Europe
Whether because of its slopes, services, or accessibility, Grandvalira has been recognised throughout its trajectory with several nominations and awards that position it as a benchmark in the snow industry as well as one of the best ski resorts in Europe. Discover the most notable milestones below.
World Ski Awards
Professionals in the snow sector—executives, tour operators, agents, the media, as well as skiers themselves—vote each year at the World Ski Awards. Founded in 2013, these awards recognise leading organisations in the sector in various categories related to snow tourism with the aim of raising standards within the global ski industry. Grandvalira has won the award for Best Ski Resort in Andorra several times—in 2023, 2022, 2020, and 2015—which positions it as one of the best ski resorts in the Pyrenees and in Europe.
Nomination for the 2015 Sabre Awards
The Sabre Awards EMEA are the most important public relations awards in the world and aim to reward the best communication campaign every year. More than 150 nominations were submitted in the 29 areas covered by the GOLD Practice Area category and Grandvalira was selected among the four finalists.
The commemorative design of the 10th anniversary logo of Grandvalira presented by Custo Dalmau (Custo Barcelona), the 68 press releases sent to media outlets, the 11 press conferences in Andorra, Spain, and France, plus the strategy and tone on Grandvalira's social networks were positively evaluated by the European jury of the award.
2012 World Snow Awards
Grandvalira was among the 6 finalists for Best Ski Resort in Europe. This mention highlights, according to the organising committee, the excellence of the services and facilities in the Soldeu sector of Grandvalira. Furthermore, this designation rewards the organisational success of the Women's Alpine Ski World Cup held in February 2012.
Grandvalira was the only ski resort in the Pyrenees nominated for these annual prizes, awarded by the votes of readers of Skier & Snowboarder magazine (UK), as well as by a committee of experts and specialists in the snow sector such as top executives of the main tour operators in the tourism sector.
