What is the Funicamp?

It is one of the longest ski lifts in Europe, offering fabulous views at an altitude of over 2,500 meters.

During a 25-minute journey through the Cortals valley, you will find a wide variety of activities to enjoy, making Encamp a charming destination for mountain lovers.

From Solanelles, a 4x4 bus will take you to Lake Cubil, where you can discover the Orri del Cubil firsthand.

Access regulations

  • To go up with a bicycle, it is mandatory to have a Bike Pass. The pedestrian pass is not valid for this use.
  • Children under 5 years old can access for free; proof of age must be presented.
  • Pets are allowed on the Funicamp, but not on the 4x4 bus.

What to do from the Funicamp in summer

From the Funicamp mid-station, several routes begin that allow you to discover the high mountain landscapes of Encamp, ideal for both hikers and nature lovers.

From this point, you can also access different activities such as MTB circuits, 4x4 bus excursions, or the Clots de l’Aspra via ferrata — a perfect option for the more adventurous.

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, at the top of the Funicamp you’ll find the Solanelles café and restaurant, where you can unwind while enjoying spectacular panoramic views.

MTB circuits

Discover Grandvalira on two wheels with e-bike routes — an activity that lets you explore the mountains in an accessible, fun, and sustainable way.

With an extensive network of signposted circuits connecting different sectors, you can ride through high mountain landscapes, enjoy panoramic routes, and experience nature at your own pace.

Thanks to electric assistance, climbs become more manageable, making this experience ideal for both beginners and more experienced riders.

 

Bus 4x4 l’Orri del Cubil

Discover the Orri del Cubil excursion — an experience that combines nature, culture, and high mountain landscapes. The activity begins with the ascent on the Funicamp to the Solanelles area, from where you can access this emblematic site located near Lake Cubil.

From there, a 4x4 bus or a walking route will take you to the orri, a traditional stone construction linked to pastoral life, where you can learn first-hand about the mountain’s heritage.

Surrounded by a privileged natural environment, this excursion is ideal for enjoying spectacular scenery, discovering the history of the area, and experiencing an authentic journey in the heart of the Pyrenees.

Via ferrada dels Clots de l’Aspra

Located in the Cortals d’Encamp, this is an ideal option for getting started in the world of via ferrata and enjoying the mountains in a different way. This equipped and सुरक्षित route combines vertical sections with Tibetan bridges, offering an accessible and fun experience in a high mountain environment.

With a short route and low difficulty, it is perfect for beginners and families looking to build confidence at height while enjoying panoramic views at over 2,200 metres.

High mountain fishing

Discover high mountain fishing in Encamp — an activity that allows you to connect with nature in a unique setting. Designed especially for children aged 6 to 14 (subject to rod availability), the experience includes access via the Funicamp and catch-and-release fishing in high-altitude lakes.

Participants over 14 can also enjoy this activity by bringing their own equipment and a valid Andorran fishing license. During a one-hour session, you’ll learn techniques with specialized guides and enjoy a მშვიდ, immersive experience surrounded by nature.

Summer Andorra Pass

Summer Andorra Pass is a pass that includes the visit, as well as an activity, in the two Grandvalira Resorts sectors of your choice. It can be used on the same day or on non-consecutive days throughout the summer and according to the opening dates of each sector.
