Ski slopes in Andorra

Due to its large size, Grandvalira is a resort with several different access points. The access points can be found from Encamp to Pas de la Casa sectors.

They are all connected by the slopes, and each of them offers a different profile and services. Our guests can cover the entire skiable area within the territory without ever having to remove their skis.

Encamp sector

The Encamp sector is the first access to Grandvalira from Spain and it’s also the closest to the town of Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. The access makes an incredible experience in itself. You can enter it via the Funicamp in the village of Encamp, which, at 6 km in length, is one of the longest funitels in Europe. In Solanelles, at an altitude of 2,500 m, there are plenty of services on offer at the top of the Funicamp, and you can ski to the rest of sectors during the winter. As in all sectors, you will find for example a ski and snowboard school. You can also come purely to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views and dine at one of our restaurants both in winter and summer. In winter it’s an ideal place to learn to ski surrounded by unique views.

Canillo Sector

The sector is open in both winter and summer and can be accessed by cable car from the town of Canillo. In both seasons of the year, it makes a perfect place to enjoy various activities as a family at the Mon(t) Magic Family Park. During the winter you have various beginners’ slopes to learn to ski in a quiet environment and you can also head towards the other sectors. If you prefer, visit without skis to enjoy the views of the emblematic Casamanya peak while descending one of the longest zip lines in the Pyrenees, or have a go on the 555 m long Màgic Gliss toboggan ride, with the option of going down it wearing virtual reality glasses. Be sure to take advantage of the restaurants in the area too!

El Tarter sector

Together with Soldeu, it hosted the FIS Alpine skiing World Cup Finals in February 2019. For a week, on the Àliga de El Tarter and Avet de Soldeu slopes, we saw the best skiers in the world descend. In 2023, the Alpine skiing World Cup returned to Andorra, positioning the resort as another benchmark for international alpine skiing.

El Tarter offers ski slopes for all levels, including freeride and mountain ski areas, the children’s circuit, Bababoom Circus as well as activities at the Grandvalira Adventure Center such as dog sledding in an idyllic setting or snowshoeing. If you have a fine palate you sure to have already visited the L’Arrosseria Pi de Mig Dia, so we won’t tell you any more. Discover the wide variety of restaurants for all tastes!

In the sector you’ll find the Snowpark El Tarter and the Après-Ski L'Abarset restaurants, both renowned dining points in the Pyrenees and in Southern Europe.

Soldeu sector

Soldeu, together with El Tarter are sectors that hosted the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in February 2019. During the week, we saw the best skiers in the world descend the Àliga slope in El Tarter and the Avet slope in Soldeu. A historic event in the Pyrenees and Andorra in which Marcel Hirscher and Mikaela Shiffrin were proclaimed the Overall World Champions for 2019.

A sector with wide slopes and very steep descents, making it ideal, whether you want to learn to ski or enjoy the snow to the full. It has a wide range of restaurant services available, with the Clicquot Snow Club Terrace and the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon being noteworthy among them. We mustn’t forget to mention the Yôkai children’s circuit and the quality hotels available at the foot of the slopes. Did you know that you can also have dinner in the restaurants upon reservation and request? Find out more!

Peretol sector

The sector premièred in the 2019-20 season, being the most recent of the seven sectors which make up the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees. To join this new entry point to Grandvalira, the Pla de les Pedres chairlift has been extended, making it the longest one in Andorra. At present, the chairlift currently leaves this sector at an altitude of 1,960 m and reaches Solanelles, the upper part of the Encamp sector at an altitude of 2,500 m. This makes the Bordes d’Envalira area a new access point and sector.  Here you will find the Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut. The only night-time Snowpark in the Pyrenees.

Grau Roig sector

Grandvalira, a World Cup resort! Grau Roig hosts the FIS Speed Skiing World Cup event, including the finals. For one week, year after year, we get to see the fastest athletes on the planet on the Riberal slope, the only approved Speed Skiing site on the Iberian Peninsula.

It also has freeride and mountain skiing practice areas and the Kids Forest themed area for the little ones; and no doubt you’ll have heard of the legendary Refugi Llac dels Pessons Restaurant. Finish off a wonderful day of skiing at one of the various restaurants available, all with the advantage of being able to get straight on your skis from the sector’s car park. It is one of the sectors where you can continue to enjoy unforgettable experiences even once the sun goes down: mountain dinners with adventure activities under the stars or even sleep in one of the magic spots of Epic Andorra.

Pas de la Casa sector

Grandvalira’s oldest sector, founded in 1956. The first rope tow installed there was powered by a lorry’s engine and its founder was a pioneer in the snow sector! Nowadays, the Pas de la Casa sector is one of the renowned entry points, with the town of Pas de la Casa bordering with Ariége in France.
